Meaning in Uncertain Times
My name is Bill Marzolla and I am the Fitness Director for the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center. I am proud to announce that we have started this blog during the era of COVID-19 and shelter-in-place in an effort to stay connected to our members, provide you with up-to-date information from our talented fitness professionals and have fun sharing what we love! There are a lot of right ways to work out, and there are definitely a lot of wrong ways to work out, and by reading these posts we hope that you'll find your unique form of movement expression and develop an exercise regimen that works for you. Not only will we discuss fitness, but we will also delve into recovery, nutrition, at-home fitness solutions, self-love, body image, mind-body connection and much more!
Before I became a fitness professional, I majored in Literature at UC Santa Cruz. One of the most valuable things that I learned from my major was that you don't really know what you think about a topic until you write it down, and once someone else reads it, you have created an indelible mark on the world. It is also said that you haven't really written something until it is read, so I hope you will oblige us by reading our blog posts and writing us back with your comments, solidifying what you believe! Humans are meaning-making machines; join us to help create meaning and clarity in these uncertain times.
In good health and gratitude,
Bill and the APJCC Fitness Team
